Some people had to install and run pbsetup as well and explicitly add BFBC2 to punkbuster. This worked for me without any other steps. Go to their website and download and install PunkBuster Service Installer (pbsvc). You may need to download punkbuster again. Then you can start the download in Xbox App, which will then launch EA App to actually download the game. Make sure you're signed into the EA Account linked with your Xbox account, or not signed in at all. So if you're running origin, you'll need to kill the app and the service, then you can launch EA App. EA App can't run at the same time as Origin. When installing through Xbox App, Xbox App will try to launch EA App to download the game. Well duh, but this was surprisingly confusing for me. Things we needed to do (All of us are on PC):
Each of us had slightly different problems, but we all managed to start playing online. Last night a couple friends and I managed to play BFBC2 after some troubleshooting.
